CAI SHEN
Artist & Designer
Cai Shen is an artist who teaches in the design department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Cai earned her B.A. degree from the design department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing (CAFA) in 2019 and continued her MFA study at Parsons, The Newschool, New York, from 2020, funded by China Scholarship Council.
In her practice, Cai uses multi-media methods to examine the relationship between man and machine. Her main research field is the man-machine relationship dominated by the human in art. And this observation point is in a gray area, between human nature and machine nature, establishing and expressing the new order and relationship between man and machine through video, installation, and other forms.
