在疫情爆发后，一切都失控了，在失控中，社会又在进化。戴着口罩的人甚至成为了一个新物种，新的存在。新的社会秩序在构建，人们也在寻求新的安慰剂去保护人性。物理的口罩似乎已经不能满足这样的需求，人们还需要一个心灵上的口罩，一个被赐予的口罩。这个口罩不是工厂生产的，它们不属于工业社会，它们来自一个无法被追踪的源头。这个源不仅赐予人们口罩，也再一遍又一遍的诉说着：“YOUR LIFE MATTERS.”可是，人们追求的这些终究是虚幻的，它们不过是打印机赐予你的印有序列号的纸质口罩罢了。
In the wake of the pandemic, when a sense of uncontrollability pervaded, society itself evolved. Individuals donning masks emerged as a new form of existence amid the construction of a novel social order. In seeking alternative forms of solace to preserve their humanity, people found that the physical mask was insufficient; there arose a need for a metaphoric, soul-enriching mask—a mask that is bestowed rather than industrially manufactured. This non-mechanized mask originates from an untraceable source, one that not only provides these tokens but incessantly proclaims: “YOUR LIFE MATTERS.” Yet, this pursuit remains ultimately illusory, for these affirmations are little more than paper masks—printed with serial numbers by a machine.
